The maps feature when searching for customers can be very beneficial vs the list section.
Example; if traveling to a certain state or you can see the locations of your customers in your territory. This will be viewed via standard pin icons on a map.
Below will be some examples and best practices when utilizing this type of search in the app.
There will also be best practices and tips to help adjust the view.
Use the standard procedure when searching for a particular customer
>select the blue highlight option to 'maps' from 'list'
>when searching in the search bar, make sure to use state abbreviations (ex. Colorado = CO)
There are many various tabs to use;
However, in this example we will focus primarily on 'State'. Same functionality applies for the other.
Use abbreviations in the search bar
- Example; Colorado = CO, California = CA, etc
Select the 'Maps' tab next to 'List'.
After you search for a specific state you sill see all of the pins with addresses in that particular state:
i.e. the map zoomed in to the state of Colorado (CO).
***The reason you may see pins elsewhere outside of the state selected, will be due to that customer having multiple location addresses.
